Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is the removal of nerve interference along the spine caused by pinched nerves as the result of a swollen disc. That inflamed disc can either press right on the spinal cord or an exiting nerve. When that happens, you get pain, numbness, muscle spasms and other symptoms and loss of health.

Removing Interference and Restoring Function

When a disc presses on a nerve it sends a message to the brain, and the brain turns around and says something is not right and tells all the muscles in that area to contract to try and protect the area. Using the specific Gonstead Technique, your chiropractor will work to locate along the spine where the vertebra is fixed and the direction it’s fixed in. Chiropractic seeks to restore function to the spine.

Conditions That Benefit From Chiropractic

Chiropractic can address a broad spectrum of issues including the following:

  • Arm pain
  • Back pain
  • Constipation
  • Headaches
  • Heartburn
  • Leg pain
  • Neck pain
  • Women’s issues (PMS and cramps)
  • Pediatric issues (bedwetting and ear infections)

The New Patient Journey

If your condition is highly acute we may see you three times a week for a period to correct the problem. Once the symptoms start to abate and the corrections start to hold longer your treatments would be spread out more. Then, we will work to help you maintain the progress we’ve made. As every patient is different, our plans are highly individualistic, never cookie-cutter.

Helping Patients Feel Comfortable

Your comfort is important to us. That’s why you will know exactly what’s going to happen before your chiropractor adjusts you so you won’t be surprised. As we believe patient education is vital, you’ll receive an explanation of precisely what will be done in advance. Your chiropractor will explain what is found and how it will be fixed.
